Praying into a Fresh Outpouring of His Power

The Bible is filled with the prayers of God's people crying out for a fresh release of His power. These are a great starting point for prayer:

Habakkuk 3:2

O Lord, I have heard the report of you,
   and your work, O Lord, do I fear.
In the midst of the years revive it;
   in the midst of the years make it known;
   in wrath remember mercy.

Psalm 68:28

Summon your power, God;
   show us your strength, our God, as you have done before.

Acts 4:29-30

29 Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. 30 Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.

2 Chronicles 20:6-12

“O Lord, God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand you. 7 Did you not, our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend? 8 And they have lived in it and have built for you in it a sanctuary for your name, saying, 9 ‘If disaster comes upon us, the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house and before you—for your name is in this house—and cry out to you in our affliction, and you will hear and save.’ 10 And now behold, the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir, whom you would not let Israel invade when they came from the land of Egypt, and whom they avoided and did not destroy— 11 behold, they reward us by coming to drive us out of your possession, which you have given us to inherit. 12 O our God, will you not execute judgment on them? For we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

Pray for miraculous healing

We have many in our extended church family in need of healing beyond what human medicine can provide. Pray for those you know specifically, for an impossible miracle.

Matthew 8:16-17

16 When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. 17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:

“He took up our infirmities
   and bore our diseases.”

Pray for a fresh release of the prophetic

We want people to discover a God who speaks. Pray for a fresh stirring of healthy prophetic in our congregation, that we would be able to communicate the heart of God to people in a way that would bypass all their defences.

1 Corinthians 14:25

24 But if an unbeliever or an inquirer comes in while everyone is prophesying, they are convicted of sin and are brought under judgment by all, as the secrets of their hearts are laid bare. So they will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, “God is really among you!”
